Accessibility
Built to be used by everyone.
Last reviewed: May 2026. Standard targeted: WCAG 2.2 Level AA across narcove.com and app.narcove.com.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML — landmarks (header / main / footer / nav), headings in order
- Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element
- Keyboard navigation through every interactive element
- Focus rings visible on every focusable target (2px ring at 2px offset)
- Colour contrast 4.5:1 minimum for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI
- Forms have associated labels, errors are descriptive, fields support autofill
- Animations honour
prefers-reduced-motion— falling back to static - Pause / play control on every animated demo
- Screen-reader-only descriptions (figcaption / sr-only) for decorative motion
- Multilingual support — Noto Sans + Noto Serif covers ~800 languages with no .notdef tofu
- Self-hosted fonts so no third-party request blocks first paint
Where we know we're behind
- The Chart (Gantt) view is best with a pointer — keyboard editing is functional but not yet ideal. Improving Q3.
- Drag-and-drop on Harbour boards has keyboard alternatives (arrow keys + space) but they're not yet announced via live regions. Improving Q3.
- We don't yet publish a VPAT. Targeting Q4.
How to report a problem
Email accessibility@narcove.com with what you were trying to do, what happened, and (if you can) browser + assistive tech. We aim to respond within two working days and fix verified issues within one fortnightly release cycle.
Equality Act 2010 / Public Sector Bodies Regulations
Narcove is a private SaaS product, not a public-sector site, but we still align with the UK's public-sector accessibility regulations as our north star. If you represent a public-sector buyer, get in touch and we'll send a current accessibility statement and any conformance evidence you need for procurement.
