Things we don't lock behind a paywall

Public portal viewers — always free. Other PM tools count every guest as a billable user. Asana, Monday, ClickUp, and Jira all do this. The cost adds up fast: a five-person team with three retainer clients ends up paying for eight or thirteen seats. We never count viewers. Pay for the people doing the work.

UK bank holidays and working hours. The scheduler skips bank holidays by default. You set working hours per person. We never plan a launch for Christmas Day. This works on every tier — including Free.

Sharp, accessible UI. Every tier gets WCAG 2.2 AAA contrast where we can. Keyboard nav for the whole kanban. Screen-reader labels on every card. Reduced-motion respected throughout. Accessibility is not a paid feature.

Data export, any time. CSV of every card, with all metadata. JSON dump of the whole workspace. Daily email backups on Team. You own your data on every plan, including Free. Cancel any time and your data stays exportable for 30 days.

A real UK invoice. Every paid tier gets a proper VAT invoice from a UK Ltd company. No PayPal workarounds. No US-EU VAT mess. If you're a UK business, you can claim it back like any other expense.

When to upgrade

How to know which tier fits

Stay on Free if:

You have one project. You're trying out the workflow. You don't need AI time guesses yet. You and up to two collaborators are fine.

Move to Pro when:

You start a second project. You want the time guesses to come from your past work, not your gut. You want the Tide cascade pulling work forward when things land early. Most freelancers and small in-house teams live here.

Move to Team when:

You have separate clients with separate plans, separate billing, separate portals. You want each client to see their own logo on their portal — and each portal on its own domain. You need higher AI limits because the team is shipping more cards. You want a 24-hour SLA on support tickets. Agencies and consultancies usually start here.

Is there really a free tier?

Yes. One project, up to three collaborators, and a fully working public client portal. No credit card. No expiry. We use it as a way for you to try the product properly. Most paid features are visible from the free tier — you can see what you'd get, decide if it's worth it, and pay only when you're sure.

What's the difference between Pro and Team?

Pro is £15 per seat per month, plus VAT. It gives you every AI feature, unlimited projects, and the public portal at narcove.com/r/your-slug. Team is £29 per seat per month plus VAT (or £99 flat for five seats). It adds multiple workspaces, branded portals on your own domain, higher AI rate limits, and priority support. Team is for agencies and consultancies running separate clients with separate plans.

What's the £99 flat-5 deal?

Five seats for £99 a month plus VAT, then £15 per extra seat after that (also plus VAT). It works out cheaper than per-seat at exactly five users — the typical agency pod size. Ideal for small studios. The deal includes everything in Team: branded portals, multi-workspace, priority support.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your billing dashboard. No phone calls, no retention scripts. Your data stays exportable for 30 days after cancellation. After 30 days the data is removed unless you ask us to keep it longer.

Are clients counted as seats?

No. The public portal is free for unlimited public viewers. You only pay for editors — the people inside your workspace planning and shipping work. Most teams have 3–10 editors and 20+ external viewers. The viewers don't cost you anything.

How does the AI usage cap work?

Pro includes 200 AI estimations and 50 plan-with-AI runs per seat per month. Team includes 600 estimations and 200 plan-with-AI runs per seat. Power users almost never hit the cap. If you do, AI features degrade to read-only suggestions until reset. Nothing stops working — only the AI helpers go quiet.

What if I need more than 5 seats on Team?

The flat-5 deal is £99 + VAT. Past that, each extra seat is £15 + VAT. Twelve seats is £99 + (£15 × 7) = £204, plus VAT on the lot. Cheaper than Asana Business at the same headcount, and the public portal is included.

Do you offer a discount for non-profits or charities?

Yes. Registered UK charities get 50% off Pro and Team. Non-profits in other regions: get in touch and we'll work something out. We don't want pricing to be the reason a small charity can't use a decent planner.

Is there an annual plan?

Yes. Annual billing saves 20%. Pro is £144 per seat per year (vs £180 monthly), Team is £278 per seat per year (vs £348). The flat-5 annual is £950 a year. All ex VAT. Cancel mid-year and we refund the unused months.

Do you bill in GBP, EUR, or USD?

GBP by default — we're a UK business, so you get a proper VAT invoice each month. We can bill in EUR or USD on request for Team customers. The exchange rate is locked at the start of each annual cycle.

What happens if I downgrade?

You keep all your data. Features that need a higher tier turn off — branded portals revert to the narcove.com URL, AI caps drop to the lower tier's limits, multi-workspace shows only your primary workspace. Nothing is deleted. Upgrade later and everything comes back.

Do you take credit card or invoice?

Both. Card via Stripe for Pro and small Team accounts. Invoice with 30-day terms for Team accounts on annual billing. Bank transfer (BACS) accepted for UK invoices.
